Dear W. Gracey - Your shoe making video is excellent! I had tried, with limited success, to make shoes for my hard to fit wife. Now I’ve made 2 pairs in a week working part time. The video does an excellent job of teaching. Your narration is great, you never miss a beat telling what the craftsman is doing. The knowledge shown by you and the craftsman is amazing! One of the neatest things is to see how few tools you actually need. I also like the fact that most of the tools needed are found in most homes or they can be found or made easily. I also make saddles and I wish I had found out about your videos years ago. When time allows I plan to order more videos, and I highly recommend these to anyone who has an interest in making footwear. It is not nearly as hard as people think it is to make shoes and boots. Dear Mr. Gracey I’ve been learning shoe and bootmaking from various sources over the past year. However when I viewed your shoemaking # 1 video, it gave me an entirely different perspective in techniques. Your video is the only one I have found for both men’s and women’s shoes. Your course proves that quality shoes can be made with a few hand tools as fast as when using expensive machinery.
